Is having 1 to 2 years of general work experience still considered entry level if looking for a job?

I'm graduating from college next semester. I have worked for the school managing the computer labs and training employees. I was part of a project sponsored by a big name money management company. I worked part time for a consulting firm that did survey research and statistical analysis for big name companies. I also had an internship at a marketing agency in downtown Chicago.

All this has been done over 2 years.

Would I still be entry level? Am I better prepared than the average college graduate or just about the same? I will have a B.S. in Psychology when I graduate.

Is 40k a year too much or too little for me to expect when I get out of college?

Although it is great that you have had some work experience. None of the work that you have done is relevant to the major that you chose besides the research and statistical job. A B.S. in psych is not going to get you paid 40 to start unless you get lucky. The people who get paid more in the psych field are those that can practice clinically. Most places require you to have a masters degree in order to be a practicing clinician. Good luck... I'm sure you will be just fine.

UPDATE: If you are not interested in doing the clinical components that come along with typical psych work, you may have a chance under your belt. As long as you come with fresh ideas and an eye for detail, I'm sure you will do just fine in marketing or similiar. Good luck... sounds like you know what you're doing.
