I received an offer of employment from Western Geco Ltd. How can I know if this is a scam or not?
Dear friend,

This is a fraud,i too received it couple of days ago.the offer was too mouthwatering and too good to be true.Though i havent yet confronted them and am going with the flow ,so as to see what their motive is behind this and when do they come to the payment terms for visa issuance.

Simple way for you to cross check is call up the regional office ,you shall get the tel.no on their website and verify the authenticity of the letter with them. Also note the mail has come from a yahoo id and not the company domain. This is a big time fraud business and internet crime authorities should trace the culprit behind this and get him behind bars.As many people who are not aware about these practices are fallen into trap.BEWARE!
Reply:Do your REALLY think some-one is offering jobs to randomly selected individuals by email ???

Did you apply ?

Did you send off your CV ?

Did you give them your eMail address ??

Did you pay them £2,000 "refundable" application fee ?

Did you give them you Bank details ?

Have you got a date to attend an Interview ?

Assuming the address is real, when you arrive no-one will ever have heard of you or 'Prof RD Lawrence' ...

The ONLY thing you can guarantee is that whatever information you send them will be used to steal your Identity and you will never see your money again... (oh - and if your reply your eMail address will be sold to other con-merchants "Marks List" (aka gullible fools who can be parted from their money)

NB. You also won the Lottery - all you need to do is send your £100 administration fee to me and I will forward it to the Nigerian Central Lottery Office and they will send your winnigs of £££ millions !!!
Reply:Also, the English is odd and some of the wordjing is strange from someone who is supposed to be a Professor. Why is a Professor working as an HR manager?
