It's midnight and the end of halloween (survey)?

It's midnight and the end of halloween you start to remember what you did yesterday you look at your clothes and in your hand is..(choose)

A) a trick or treat bag....yeah you're 36 but you still like getting candy and you enjoy the true essence of halloween. You laugh with your buddies and you still dress up. IT was so much fun.

B) an empty tissue roll. You shake your head your principle now or your boss just made you mad yesterday and after you egged his house you and 6 other (employees/classmates) starts runing after terrorizing the rest of the neighbors.

C) your gf/bf hair you stroked it while watching a movie cuddled up and you guys talked about alot then made out for along time.

D) a bottle of bear you just went to an insane party where there was a hoola, fire and a bunch of pumpkins everywhere shattered..crap what happened?

E) a hand full of popcorn you and a bunch of your buddies and cousins and lover were sitting down watching old 80s horror flicks with popcorn

It's midnight and the end of halloween (survey)?
I have to go with: A

I still dress-up for Halloween %26amp; it's still fun, actually it's even more now. Being 45 doesn't mean I'm to old to have fun on Halloween, I just have more Halloween experience.

Is there a good/legitimate online or work from home part time job????
If you are looking for a straight at home job, there is a place called LiveOps that was listed in a Yahoo! Finance article the other day. It's a Home Based Customer Service Center. I have not checked it out, but the article by Laura Rowley gave it high marks and includes portions of an interview done with an employee. The website is www.liveops.com

If you are looking for more of a home based business that you can continue year round without having to quit your current job, there is a group called IMGenius who sells health and wellness products. You can make a lot of money doing it, I have personally known a few people who make $1000 a month and as a user of the products I can testify that it is reliable. Here's a link for that:

How can this be true? Do illegal aliens REALLY get better FREE health care than the US Military?

Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas , Texas is a fairly famous institution and for a variety of reasons:

1. John F. Kennedy died there in 1963.

2. Lee Harvey Oswald died there shortly after.

3. Jack Ruby-who killed Lee Harvey Oswald, died there a few years later..by coincidence.

"On the flip side, Parkland is also home to the second busiest maternity ward in the country with almost 16,000 new babies arriving each year. (That's almost 44 per day---every day)

A recent patient survey indicated that 70 percent of the wo men who gave birth at Parkland in the first three months of 2006 were illegal immigrants. That's 11,200 anchor babies born every year just in Dallas.

According to the article, the hospital spent $70.7 million delivering 15,938 babies in 2004 but managed to end up with almost $8 million dollars in surplus funding. Medicaid kicked in $34.5 million, Dallas County taxpayers kicked in $31.3 million and the feds tossed in another $9.5 million.

The average patient in Parkland 's maternity wards is 25 years old, married and giving birth to her second child. She is also an illegal immigrant. By law, pregnant women cannot be denied medical care based on heir immigration status or ability to pay.

OK, fine. That doesn't mean they should receive better care than everyday, middle-class American citizens. But at Parkland Hospital , they do.

Parkland Memorial Hospital has nine prenatal clinics. NINE.

The Dallas Morning News article followed a Hispanic woman who was a patient at one of the clinics and pregnant with her third child---her previous two were also born at Parkland . Her first two deliveries were free and the Mexican native was grateful because it would have cost $200 to have them in Mexico This time, the hospital wants her to pay $10 per visit and $100 for the delivery but she was unsure if she could come up with the money. Not that it matters, the hospital won't turn her away. (I wonder why they even bother asking at this point.)

How long has this been going on? What are the long-term affects? Well, another subject of the article was born at Parkland in 1986 shortly after her mother entered the U.S. illegally---now she is having her own child there as well. (That's right, she's technically a U.S. citizen.) These women receive free prenatal care including medication, nutrition, birthing classes and child care classes. They also get freebies such as car seats, bottles, diapers and formula.

Most of these things are available to American citizens as well but only for low-income applicants and even then, the red tape involved is almost insurmountable.

Because these women are illegal immigrants, they do not have to provide any sort of legitimate identification---no proof of income. An American citizen would have to provide a social security number which would reveal their annual income---an illegal immigrant need only claim to be poor and the hospital must take them at their word.

"My husband is a pilot for the United States Navy (yes, he fought in Iraq ) and while the health care is good, we Navy wives don't get any of these perks!" Car seats? Diapers? Not so much. So my question is this: Does our public medical care system treat illegal immigrants better than American citizens? Yes it does!

As I mentioned, the care I have received is perfectly adequate but it's bare bones, meat and potato medical care---not top of line.

Their (the illegals) medical care is free---simply because they are il legal immigrants? Once again, there is no way to verify their income.

Parkland Hospital offers indigent care to Dallas County residents who earn less than $40,000 per year. (They also have to prove that they did not refuse health coverage at their current job. Yeah, the 'free' care is not so easy for Americans.)

There are about 140 patients who received roughly $4 million dollars for un-reimbursed medical care. As it turns out, they did not qualify for free treatment

because they resided outside of Dallas County So the hospital is going to sue them! Illegals get it all free! But U.S citizens who live outside of Dallas County get sued! How stupid is this?

As if that isn't annoying enough, the illegal immigrant patients are actually complaining about hospital staff not speaking Spanish. In this AP story, the author speaks with a woman who is upset that she had to translate comments from the hospital staff into Spanish for her husband. The doctor was trying to explain the situation to the family and the mother was forced to translate for her husband who only spoke Spanish. This was apparently a great injustice to her.

In an attempt to create a Spanish-speaking staff, Parkland Hospital is now providing incentives in the form of extra pay for applicants who speak Spanish. Additionally, medical students at the University of Texas Southwestern for which Parkland Hospital is the training facility will now have a Spanish language requirement added to their already jammed-packed curriculum. No other school in the country boasts such a ridiculous multi-semester (multicultural) req uirement.

In the meantime, I have to end my column here. I have to go buy a car seat."

(Ed: Sorry for the length, but this needs wide circulation----particularly to our "employees" in Congress.)

PLEASE SEND THIS TO EVERY US CITIZEN YOU KNOW.

If you want to verify accuracy:

Reply:Homeless Veterans

According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, about one out of every three in the adult homeless population has served in the armed forces. On any given day, as many as 200,000 veterans (male and female) are living on the streets or in shelters, and perhaps twice as many experience homelessness at some point during the course of a year.

Many other veterans are considered near homeless or at risk because of their poverty, lack of support from family and friends, and dismal living conditions in cheap hotels or in overcrowded or substandard housing.

Right now, the number of homeless male and female Vietnam-era veterans is greater than the number of service persons who died during that war -- and a small number of Desert Storm veterans are also appearing in the homeless population.

http://www.vfw.org/index.cfm?fa=vets.lev...

Veterans Health Issues

While the VFW is concerned about the health of all veterans, the organization focuses its resources on illnesses and disease that are service-connected and are unique to the military, such as health problems resulting from exposure to Agent Orange during the Vietnam War or service in the Persian Gulf. The number of diseases that the Department of Veterans Affairs has recognized as associated with Agent Orange or Persian Gulf Syndrome continues to expand and includes diabetes and prostate cancer to chronic fatigue syndrome and post-traumatic stress disorder.

http://www.vfw.org/index.cfm?fa=vets.lev...

The Fight for Veterans' Rights

Imagine no GI Bill of Rights, no health care, no disability compensation, no service-connection rating for victims of Agent Orange or radiation exposure, no educational retraining for disabled veterans, no home-loan guarantees. Worse, imagine no one cared.

For more than 100 years, the VFW has cared when no one else did, making the non-profit veterans' organization the veteran's greatest advocate. Thanks to grassroots efforts by its milion-member membership and supporters, when the VFW charges up Capitol Hill, senators and representatives listen and legislatiion is born.

Here are the following principles guiding VFW in its legislative initiatives:

Veterans must not have to wait for benefits to which they are entitled.

Veterans must be ensured access to high-quality medical care.

Veterans must be guaranteed timely access to the full continuum of health-care services, including long-term care.

Veterans must be assured burial in state or national cemeteries in every state.

Specialized care must remain the focus of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

VA’s mission to support the military medical system in time of war or national

emergency is essential to the nation’s security.

VA’s mission to conduct medical and prosthetic research in areas of veterans’ special needs is critical to the integrity of the veterans health-care system and to the

advancement of American medicine.

VA’s mission to support health professional education is vital to the health of all Americans.

In 2005, the VFW was instrumental in making a reality, the passage of Capitol Hill initiatives aimed in improving healthcare for veterans, as well as increasing VA benefits for deserving veterans. The following list details some of VFW's accomplishments:

Stopping the review of 72,000 cases of severely disabled veterans suffering from PTSD. While we are supportive of eliminating fraud, VA’s sole intent was to reduce compensation of certain veterans under the guise of ‘fraud’.

VA’s review was curtailed, thanks to grassroots efforts and the thousands of phone calls and e-mails to VA and Congress. Congress even put language in the appropriations bills preventing VA from undertaking any future review. Your efforts protected veterans.

Earmarks $82.4 billion in emergency funding for DOD and Tsunami relief efforts.

Increases the maximum benefit under the Servicemen's Group Life Insurance program from $250,000 to $400,000, and military death gratuity from $12,000 to $100,000.

Grants a special death gratuity of up to $150,000 for combat operations.

Provides an additional death gratuity of $238,000 for deaths that occur before the enactment of this Act in combat operations, in a combat zone, or in Operations Enduring Freedom or Iraqi Freedom.

Offers additional supplemental traumatic injury insurance with a payment of up to $100,000 if the member sustains a traumatic injury.

Passage of the Veterans Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act, which authorizes a cost-of-living adjustment of about 4.1% in the rates of disability compensation, clothing allowance and DIC.

Passage of Fiscal Year 2006 Military Quality of Life and Veterans Affairs Appropriations. Included in the provision:

·$82.6 billion in funding for Department of VA and Military Construction.

·$70.2 billion in funding for VA of which $37.2 billion goes to Veterans Benefit Administration and $33 billion for Veteran Health Administration.

·$1.2 billion in emergency funding to address budget shortfalls in health care.

·Earmarks $607 million for major construction projects, and $198.9 for minor construction projects.

·$412 million for medical and prosthetic research.

·$85 million for long-term care facilities.

·$6.2 billion for military construction with $4 billion for family housing.

·Funds $1.8 billion to implement 2005 base closures and realignment (BRAC).

Passage of the Fiscal Year 2006 National Defense Authorization Act, which:

·Grants a 3.1% pay raise for servicemembers, offers 20 types of bonus and special pays, and increases incentive and hardship duty pays.

·Extends TRICARE health coverage to reservists and family members as they continue service.

·Increases TRICARE benefits for surviving children of members who die on active duty.

·Increases death gratuity payments to $100,000 – retroactive payments given to survivors of those who died on or after Oct 7, 2001.

·Permanently increases Servicemembers Group Life Insurance to $400,000.

·Provides $60 million in additional funds to child care and family assistance services to active duty and reserve families.

·Accelerates phase-in to 2009 of full concurrent receipt for military retirees who are rated 100% IU by VA.

·Creates a task force on mental health and the armed forces.

These brave soldiers fought when our government said it is time to serve your country on foreign soil. Then our government turned their back on them. If not for the benefits received through the VFW organization, our soldiers would have nothing.

Meanwhile, every politician in the White House is guaranteed a lifetime of income and benefits - that would even include a mental institution.

I don't know about you, but it makes me sick to my stomach to think of how our soldiers are treated when they come home from wars they didn't choose to be in.

If you see a soldier, shake his or her hand and genuinely tell them thank you for serving our country. God Bless You.

It's bad enough that we pieces of sh!t in this country who milk our system as it is, now we have to worry about the ILLEGALS milking our system as well, what a joke. How do these survey questions show misleading statistics?

1. parents r asked , " should children waste their time visiting the internet?"

2. parents of young children r asked , "do u think all public restrooms should have changing tables?"

3. parents r asked , " should we develop hand-eye coordination by teaching our kids how to play computer games?"

4. the president of a large company asks her employees, " do u agree with my opinion each time i make a discussion about our company?"

please put a number next 2 ur answer so i know which one ur talking about.

these r examples

should skate boarders be allowed to endanger people by doing stunts on city park walkways.

misleading by emphasizing possible danger

How do these survey questions show misleading statistics?
#1 asks parents only; makes assumption that children waste time on internet

#2 asks parents of young children only; makes assumption that public restrooms should have changing tables

#3 only parents are asked; makes assumption that computer games develops eye hand coordination

#4 only employees asked; assumes all employees agree with her assessment of company

All questions skew the results.
Reply:1. Implies that the internet is a waste of time and that there is no real learning value to knowing how to navigate.

2.

3. Implies that this is the only learning being done. "hand eye"

4. Its the president of the company. Who is going to disagree?

PLEASE ANSWER MY SURVEY, I'm a High Business Venture Student, on ideas of a Restaurant/Club?
I've got several ideas, I've always wanted to have for a restaurant. I'm a themie person, something nostolgic like, something 50'ish, or something about wilderness, backwoods, or a place called "The River's Edge" or River's Edge Cafe, and have the intierior designed according to the name and theme of the place. Like have for The River's Edge, have a bar with wooden whiskey barrels, and a man made replica of a stream with trees a couple bushes, and serve food like sports bar food to steaks and seafood. That gives a wide choice of type of foor and prices.

With the 50's have a old 50's Chevy and serve appeitzers from the trunk, have the lights look like the old gas station pump signs like the type of gas ads, and serve pictcher's of beverages with drinking pictchers designed like the old oil cans with the nozzle as the spout. and have the waitresses where clothes of the 50's with Bobby socks and saddle shoes. Serve ice cream, shakes, malts, floats burgers and fries , onion rings, shrimp in a basket.

Another type I've thought of is one that serves for mostly health consciesous people. And make it so if people want salt in food they put it on themselves or ask for it cooked that way. Instead of making people have to ask for it cooked without salt. There is already enough places that are geared for people not concerned about what they eat. And put in the menu by each add or picture of an item what that item contains in nutrients (fats, sodium and carbs)

1 Casual dinning

2 nice decor that fits the type of food served or the name of the place. Also happy, smiling greeters, ready to seat you. A fairly quiet, but busy atmosphere.

3 depends on what type of food served

4 supervisors yes, and depending on if you serve alchohol or not on security

5 yes, it is nice to seem them wear close to the same outfits

6 the usual, soda, tea hot or cold, soda. Depending on type of place, Beer, wine and cocktails.

7 Mai tai's, Havey wallbangers, rusty nail, slippery rock, Mississippi Mud, bloody mary, Tom Collins, Whiskey sour. Jim Beam, Jack Daniel's and the list goes on and also virgin drinks(= no booze) there are vaious no booze punch recipes

8 all kinds, easy, listening, Big band, old rock n roll, old time country and westren, show tunes

9 female

10 depends on if there just for dinner or if the club is having a dance. Just to eat no later than 8:30 to 10 PM. For a dance, goes by the laws in your state.
Reply:I can't tell if you are asking about a restaurant OR a club or a club that is also a restaurant. Since I don't usually go to clubs, I just gave you my opinions about restaurants. Hope this helps.

1. ideal restaurant: casual sit-down restaurant with low prices and relatively large portions (like TGI Fridays, or Applebee's)

2. First thing to feel or see - smiling host/hostess

3. Specialist - doesn't matter

4. Security - I guess I am hoping that security wouldn't be necessary. I am not sure I would return to a place that needs security

5. Employee uniform - yes, I like uniforms. It's easy to see who works there in case you have a question or a request

6. Drinks - beer, pina coladas, daquiris, sodas

7. Special drinks - sorry, none that I can think of.

8. Music - Frank Sinatra, jazz, easy listening. I am there for the food and the conversation, so the music shouldn't dominate, but should be in the background. Not too loud.

9. Age: 39, Sex: Female

10. N/a
Reply:Modern, quiet, clean, little upscale

Specialist

Security would depend on the area

I think a uniform style is nice for the staff...this way you can tell who works there easily

Mojito...cilantro mojito

Depends on my mood. For dining jazz is nice. In my car usually top 20 or reggae

Somewhere with great food and great prices where there are low-fat or low-calorie alternatives

What kind of food do you like?

I like nearly all kinds of food. Excessively salty or greasy foods I dislike.

What is the first thing you want to feel or see when you come in the restaurant?

I want it to look clean, appropriately full for the time of day, and sufficiently lit. I would like to hear people talking pleasantly (if there are many of them), or quiet music that matches the theme of the restaurant. Classical music is nearly always a safe choice in an upscale restaurant. Pop-ish music is generally a better choice for a bar or nightclub.

Do you prefer specialist bartenders and cooks, than ordinary?

No, though it looks great on paper.

Will you feel secure if there is more security at the club such as security guards and supervisiors?

Depends. If they are needed, then yes, if they aren't I'll just feel like the place isn't safe.

Would you like it if all of the employees are in the same wear?

Somewhat. Male and Female attire should differ though coordinate. Also bartenders may have a slightly different but still coordinating outfit as the waiters/waitresses

What are your favorite drinks?

Scotch and soda

So I know the manager who is a daughter of the supervisor in the same department. They are very jelouse people and they are rude to the rest the department b/c the other employees don't speak good english and work in housekeeping. Well one day my mom got sick b/c one of the rooms smelled bad and she was the "interpreter" for her even tho I am bilingual too...She, the manager of the department started smiling and making it seem like it was a joke. I got so mad. They even started gossip about my mother that she was "weak" and started laughing because she couldn't breath well because she got sent to the ER. I am so disapointed in how "managers" can act so UNproffesional like that at a work place. But many the the front desk managers get along with her GREAT and love her, as they look down at me just because I am not one the mangers or the ones that have to dress in a suite. What should I do? SURVEY:: Do you think our office cleaning lady hates us?

At the office I'm in, there's one female, and 24 males. There's four bathrooms. One is the female only, the others are for the guys.

These guys are older gentlemen, between early 40s - late 50s. I don't think any of them could hit the toilet the whole time but they can shoot a tick off a dog's butt from 300 yards away. I think most of them have explosive diarrhea and they shed a lot too.

She only comes twice a week and once on the weekend. I'm scared to use the bathroom and all day I drink water.

There's another office across town that houses about 100 employees, maybe 10 of them female. They also have 4 bathrooms.

I've never seen her but it's just her and one other lady.
